History
Since 1981, Witmer Furniture has been building solid wood furniture in Central Wisconsin. Through hard work and dedication, our employees have built Witmer into a nationally recognized furniture manufacturer by relying on three basic principles:

In December 2021, Witmer Furniture was purchased by Wisconsin River Partners Investment Group. With this change in ownership comes additional investment and a renewed dedication to expand. This expansion will allow us to continue providing quality handmade furniture made in America. As a three-time nominee for Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year and most recently named a Top 100 Wood Manufacturer in the United States by Woodworking Network, Witmer has maintained these principles for over 40 years. Operating in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Abbotsford, Wisconsin, our products are on display at over 100 Retail Furniture Outlets throughout the United States. In addition, Witmer builds products for commercial projects, libraries, assisted living centers, and much more.
Craftsmanship
Each piece of furniture made by Witmer is crafted using bench-building techniques. We employ advanced Saw-Optimizing Technology and CNC Machining Centers to ensure that our builders receive the highest-quality parts. Witmer does not produce any furniture for stock; instead, every item is made to order.
Construction
As the leading supplier of solid wood furniture in the United States, Witmer uses only the finest materials to craft furniture as it should be made. By utilizing the highest grades of lumber and the best available hardware, you are guaranteed a quality piece of furniture. Witmer remains dedicated to their philosophy of creating quality furniture from premium materials. When a design calls for anything other than solid wood or glued-up wood panels, only matching plywood is utilized.
Witmer goes to great lengths to ensure the continued quality of your product. Incoming lumber is tested for moisture content to prevent warping from too-wet wood and splitting from too-dry wood. All solid wood panels are hand-sorted and assembled to be aesthetically pleasing.
Finally, English Dovetail Drawers are used with full-access drawer glides. Each piece is finished with a multi-step finishing process, with the final protective finish being a catalyzed lacquer finish. This is an extremely durable and protective finish that is resistant to scratching, moisture, and UV light, for example. In addition, our case pieces are compliant with the new anti-tipping legislation.
WARRANTY INFORMATION
Witmer Furniture offers a one-year limited warranty against all other defects in material and workmanship. The warranty period starts on the original date of sale to the consumer and is non-transferable.
In addition, we offer lifetime warranties for Dovetail Drawer Boxes, Drawer Glides, Tops, and Drawer Faces. If any of these items fail, Witmer Furniture will provide replacement parts for the life of the original purchaser. This warranty does not cover items that are determined to be customer damage or neglect.
